• This is required when the initial and additional characterization methods are not adequate based on the client needs.
• May require extensive consulting time either in house or on the client's site.

• Typically requires in depth research time.
• Final report(s) issued based on milestone achievement or at project close.

require more time and specialized sample preparation.
